Let the summer travels begin!

Hello friends and family! 

Since I’m not on social media, this is for anyone who asks this summer “Where are the Boyers?” For the past several years we have taken 6 week road trips that have been really fun, but this year we are trying something new. Where are we headed this year? Drumroll please…. 

Southeast Asia! 

Our plan is to visit my cousin Elise in Laos where she teaches, then Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. Dave and I visited some of these places when we were stationed in Japan years ago, but this will be the first time for all of our kids. We’re excited for the adventure to begin! 

Our trip begins as a 30 road trip (in 2 days) across the states to CA! Caleb and I drove a little (it’s so nice to have another driver now), but Dave was the rock star driver. We arrived in CA and got to see Dave’s mom. We fly out early Wednesday morning for Bangkok. Thailand here we come!

We are traveling for 6 weeks with no checked bags and one backpack a piece that can’t weigh more than 7kg (15.4lbs). We spent a lot of time packing, repacking, and adjusting our bags so we could all make the weight limit.
