Vietnamese Friends

Our last day in Da Nang we spent time with the church again. There is something so special singing “Blessed Assurance” in Vietnamese, just the reminder that God’s love and truth is not confined by time zones, languages, or cultures. One couple hosted lunch at their house afterwards and it was so fun to eat at their table talking and laughing while the kids ran around playing together. When Liam found out one of the older boys was good at building Legos he asked for his help and they built together. We had a homemade meal of rice noodles, pork, salad, peanuts, and sprouts. It was a sweet time of family fellowship.

For our last dinner in Da Nang we decided to try one of the Korean BBQ places that were everywhere. We ended up at Golden Meat and it had both fantastic food and service. Our waiter Khai became a fast friend. He cooked our meal for us and we loved chatting with him. It was an interesting experience, because before we even ordered our table was full of food. Khai showed us how to make wraps with the meat and sesame leaves and what veggies and sauces to include. He even got extra pineapple for Liam who loved the grilled pineapple. It was such a fun night and a perfect end to our time in Da Nang.
