When we got back from our dinner last night Caleb couldn’t find his key. The hotel staff let us into the room but didn’t have an extra key which you need to work the lights and AC. Josh slept in our room because their room was so hot. Annabelle lost her special necklace from Aunt Elise and we spent an hour turning the room upside down looking for it. And it was raining when we left for the train so it was feeling like a meh kind of day. Thankfully the water lily’s are beautiful no matter the weather and after an hour train ride we made it to River View Villas in Vang Vieng. There’s a playground in back and a gorgeous pool. This is low tourist season in Laos so we have the whole place to ourselves. We spent the afternoon napping and swimming, then got delicious takeout from Pizza Luca down the road. It’s been good to try so much local food, but sometimes a piece of pizza and BeerLao just hits the spot.
